Wild Horse Jasper 5.20CT
Wild Horse Jasper (also known as Wild Horse Magnesite) is an opaque, creamy-white stone featuring deep brown, maroon, or black mottling. It is named for its spotted, dappled appearance, which resembles the coat of a wild horse.
🌿 Metaphysical & Healing Properties
In crystal healing and spiritual practices, Wild Horse Jasper is highly valued for its earthy, grounding energy and deep connection to nature:
- Emotional Balance: It is thought to provide a calming influence during periods of emotional turmoil or stress, helping to pacify an "untamed" spirit.
- Meditation & Focus: The stone is said to quiet a restless mind, bringing peace, focus, and mental clarity.
- Spiritual Awakening: Associated with the Root and Crown chakras, it is believed to awaken inner wisdom and deepen intuition.
- Physical Vitality: Crystal practitioners often use it to support blood pressure regulation, physical stamina, and general body healing.
🏔️ Origin & Composition
- Geographic Location: Authentic Wild Horse Jasper is exceptionally rare and comes exclusively from the Gila Wilderness area in southern Arizona, near the Globe copper mine.
- Mineral Composition: Technically classified as Wild Horse Magnesite, it is not a traditional quartz-based jasper. It is primarily composed of white magnesite with hematite and other natural inclusions that create its signature dark veins.
- Hardness: It is relatively soft, registering between 3.5 and 4.5 on the Mohs hardness scale.
Care & Uses
Because of its unique patterns and beautiful luster, it is widely used in custom jewelry (like cabochons) and decorative carvings. Because it is a softer mineral, it requires careful handling. Avoid harsh chemicals and prolonged water exposure; clean it gently with mild soap, warm water, and a soft cloth
