Natural strawberry quartz from Morocco—often referred to as hematoid quartz or fire quartz—comes primarily from the Sidi Rahal region in the El Kelaâ des Sraghna Province. It gets its pink to deep red coloring from natural hematite or iron oxide inclusions that form within basaltic rock. 

Key Characteristics of Moroccan Strawberry Quartz

• Inclusions: Contains natural specks, flecks, and sometimes needle-like formations of red hematite.
• Matrix: Commonly found as vugs, geodes, or druzy. It can also feature associated minerals like calcite or opal.
• Hardness: Measures 6.0–7.0 on the Mohs scale, making it suitable for gentle jewelry and collection.
• Colors: Colors range from soft blush pink to rich wine and deep red.
