Blue apatite is a striking, phosphate mineral ranging from sky blue to deep neon blue-green. Prized in the metaphysical community as a "manifestation and dream stone", it is also cut into gemstones resembling Paraiba tourmaline, though its softness limits it mostly to pendants and earrings.

Physical & Chemical Properties

• Chemical Formula: Calcium phosphate, often containing manganese which gives it the signature blue color. 
• Hardness: 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale. Because it scratches easily, it is best suited for necklaces, earrings, or brooches rather than rings. 
• Origin: The name comes from the Greek word apatao—meaning to deceive—because it is frequently mistaken for other gemstones like tourmaline or peridot. It is mined globally, with notable deposits in Brazil, Africa, and Madagascar. 

• Chakra Alignment: Primarily associated with the Throat Chakra (for communication) and the Third Eye Chakra (for intuition and wisdom).
• Lucid Dreaming & Clarity: Often used as a dream stone to stimulate lucid dreaming, aid in astral travel, and encourage "vertical vision".
