Buffalo turquoise (also called "White Buffalo") is a rare, highly prized gemstone mined exclusively at a single deposit in Tonopah, Nevada. Despite its name, it is not actually turquoise; it is primarily composed of calcite and alumite. It is distinguished by its snow-white color and striking, contrasting black or brown webbed matrix.
