Blue Sandstone, also widely known as Blue Goldstone, is a synthetic, man-made composite material widely used for gemstones, carvings, and holistic healing. It is manufactured by melting a mixture of quartz silica, sand, and metal oxides (like cobalt or manganese) in a low-oxygen furnace, which cools into a crystalline structure.

Key Characteristics at a Glance

• Appearance: A deep, midnight-blue matrix densely infused with tiny, sparkling metallic flakes that create a "starry night sky" or "galaxy" effect.
• Material Composition: Strictly a silicate glass composite, not a naturally occurring mineral.
• Hardness: Scores about 5.0 to 6.0 on the Mohs scale, making it relatively soft but highly polishable.
• Durability: It should be protected from harsh chemicals, extreme heat, and severe impacts since it can chip or scratch.
