Yellow peridot is simply standard peridot, a gem-quality variety of the mineral olivine, showcasing a vibrant golden-green or citrus-yellow color. Because its natural color is determined by its iron-magnesium composition rather than impurities, yellow-green is one of its most common and treasured natural shades. 

• Signature Color: While pure, grass-green stones exist, most natural peridot naturally leans heavily into a sunny yellow-green, olive, or golden-green hue. [1, 2, 3, 4]
• The "Evening Emerald": Ancient Romans affectionately called it this because its brilliant yellow-green glow remained vivid even in dim or artificial light. 
• Double Refraction: Peridot has high double refraction, meaning if you look closely through the table of the gem, you can often see a faint doubling of the back facets.
